- Subscription and payment records: plan, amount, transaction reference and status. Card and bank details are handled by Paystack; we do not store them.
- Listing content: property details, photos, prices, locations and contact numbers you publish.
- KYC documents: CAC certificates, proof of property ownership, letters of authority, professional licences, government ID and similar documents you upload for verification.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP address, pages viewed and cookies.
How we use KYC documents
KYC documents are used to confirm your identity and your right to list a property or offer a service, to prevent fraud, and to resolve complaints. They are visible only to authorised staff, and are never displayed on your public listings.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, process payments and activate your plan;
- to publish listings and let interested users contact you;
- to verify subscribers, investigate complaints and enforce our Terms;
- to send service messages, and marketing where you have agreed (you can opt out at any time);
- to improve, secure and analyse the Platform.
Lawful basis
We process data on the basis of your consent, to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running a safe marketplace, always balanced against your rights.
Who we share data with
- Payment processors (Paystack) to complete subscription payments;
- email and SMS service providers that deliver our messages;
- hosting and technical service providers working under confidentiality obligations;
- regulators, law enforcement or courts where the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data. Information you place in a public listing, such as the property details and contact number, is visible to all visitors.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. KYC documents are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for fraud-prevention and legal purposes, then deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and other reasonable safeguards. No online system is completely secure, so please protect your password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under the NDPA you may ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, withdraw consent, object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). Email us to exercise these rights; we may need to verify your identity first. Deleting KYC data may mean we can no longer keep your account verified.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the Platform is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work properly.
Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
